North Sulawesi is a province in Indonesia that is well known for its stunning natural attractions. The beaches, the mountainous areas, and lush forests are the highlights that make this destination special.
The Tangkoko Nature Reserve is a flora and fauna conservation area on Mount Tangkoko in the district of Bitung in the province of North Sulawesi, about one hour’s drive from Manado. The reserve is particularly attractive for its unique wildlife that can be observed roaming free in the forest.
Bunaken is an 8.08 km² island in the Bay of Manado, situated in the north of the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Bunaken forms part of the administrative city of Manado, capital of North Sulawesi. The marine Park around Bunaken is part of the National Park that also includes the ocean around the island of Manado Tua, Siladen and Mantehage.
Sulawesi is benefited by its location that makes the island tropical. All-year long is always the best time to visit according to your mood. When you wish to enjoy the rainy breeze during rainy season, you can plan your visit during January-April, but if you wish to enjoy the bright sunlight for your perfect tan at the beach, June-October is the best season for that. The Indonesian Rupiah is the only accepted currency. Worry not, if you choose to use your credit card in Sulawesi, it’s no problem.
Sulawesi is heaven to traveller, many countries can visit Indonesia without having to present a visa upon arrival for your short trip. Those not listed from those countries can apply visa on arrival (VOA) at the airport.
