Day 1
ARRIVAL IN NORTH SUMATRA MEDAN - TRANSPORT TO THE HOTEL
Selamat datang! Welcome to North Sumatra. Upon arrival at Medan International Airport, meet your driver and enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Medan. Take this time to settle in and relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the vibrant city at your own pace or simply rest and recharge for the upcoming adventure. BATH WITH ELEPHANTS - JEEP RIDE TO BUKIT LAWANG
After breakfast, join the mahout to bathe and wash the elephants in the nearby river—an unforgettable experience in harmony with nature. Then, begin a two-hour guided jungle trek through the lush rainforest of Tangkahan. After the hike, continue your journey by jeep (approx. 3 hours) across the national park to Bukit Lawang, a village renowned for its orangutan rehabilitation program. Upon arrival, enjoy the afternoon at leisure—either relax at your riverside lodge or explore the peaceful village surroundings on foot.

JUNGLE TREKKING BUKIT LAWANG - OVERNIGHT IN A TENT
After breakfast, begin a thrilling 6-hour jungle trek through Gunung Leuser National Park with your guide. Keep your eyes open for orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, and other wildlife as you hike through dense rainforest terrain. In the late afternoon, arrive at a scenic riverbank where you’ll set up camp. Surrounded by the sounds of the jungle, enjoy a freshly cooked dinner prepared by your guide. Spend the night in a simple tent under the forest canopy—a true back-to-nature experience in the heart of Sumatra’s wilderness.
Day 5
JUNGLE TREKKING BUKIT LAWUNG
After breakfast at your jungle camp, continue your adventure with a 4-hour trek deeper into the rainforest. Along the way, immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the wild, keeping watch for exotic birds and wildlife. The trek ends at a riverbank where a fun and refreshing tubing ride awaits—float down the river for about 20 minutes back to your lodge. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as the current carries you through lush greenery. In the afternoon, relax at your riverside lodge or take a dip in the cool waters. A perfect balance of adventure and serenity.
Day 6
BERASTAAGI - SIBAYAK SINABUNG
After breakfast, say goodbye to the jungle as your journey continues to the cool highlands of Berastagi, located about 1,300 meters above sea level. The scenic 5-hour drive offers stunning views of lush landscapes and the towering volcanoes of Mount Sibayak and Mount Sinabung. On the way, stop at the striking Mary Annai Church with its unique Indo-Mughal architecture, and explore Lumbini Park, home to a replica of Myanmar’s Shwedagon Pagoda. Before arriving at your hotel in Berastagi, visit a vibrant local fruit market and enjoy sampling fresh tropical produce from the region.
Day 7
SIBAYAK - BERASTAGI - TRANSFER TO LAKE TOBA
After breakfast, begin your day with a guided hike to Sibayak Volcano (2,172 meters). The climb is relatively easy and takes about an hour from the parking area. Enjoy panoramic views and the volcanic steam vents at the summit. After descending, unwind in the soothing hot springs of Raja Berneh. Later, continue your journey to Medan, stopping at Dokan, a traditional Batak Karo village known for its unique architecture. Visit the stunning Sipiso Piso Waterfall before arriving in Parapat. From there, take a 45-minute ferry ride to Samosir Island, beautifully situated in the heart of Lake Toba.
Day 8
FREE DAY IN SAMOSIR
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day on Samosir Island. Guests can relax at the hotel, swim in the clear waters of Lake Toba, or explore the surrounding area with a scenic bike ride around TukTuk, a charming village known for its laid-back atmosphere and traditional Batak culture.
Day 9
SAMOSIR DAY TOUR
After breakfast, explore Samosir Island with your private driver. Begin your journey in Ambarita, a historic Batak Toba village known for its stone chairs and execution site used in ancient tribal court rituals. Continue to Simanindo to visit the former home of King Sidauruk and witness a traditional Tor-Tor (gate-gate) dance performance. Then head north to Pangururan to relax in the natural hot sulfur springs. On the return to your hotel, stop by the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar, one of the island’s legendary Batak rulers.
Day 10
FLIGHT TO PADANG VIA MEDAN - TRANSFER TO BUKITTINGGI
After breakfast, your driver will take you to Silangit Airport for your flight to Padang via Medan. Please allow approximately 3.5 to 4 hours for the journey from Lake Toba to the airport. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive through North Sumatra’s highlands before continuing your adventure in West Sumatra.
Day 11
BUKITTINGGI - HARAU VALLEY
In the morning, head to the stunning Harau Valley with your driver. Enjoy a 2-hour guided walk through the lush landscape, where you might spot black Siamangs and Gibbon monkeys in their natural habitat. The walk ends at a serene waterfall, perfect for a refreshing swim. Afterward, visit a local family home to join a small Padang cooking class and learn to prepare traditional West Sumatran dishes. Return to Bukittinggi in the afternoon.
Day 12
BIKE TOUR AROUND BUKITTINGGI
After breakfast, your driver will take you to Koto Baru, about 45 minutes away, where today’s cycling adventure begins. Accompanied by your guide, explore the scenic villages and rice fields at the foot of Merapi Volcano, with panoramic views over Bukittinggi. Along the way, stop in traditional villages to observe blacksmithing, rice cultivation, and enjoy a friendly coffee break with locals. In the afternoon, return to your hotel in Bukittinggi.
Day 13
FLIGHT TO TANA TORAJA VIA MAKASSAR
After breakfast, set off to explore the natural beauty around Bukittinggi. Begin with a 2-hour hike through the lush Sianok Canyon, a 150-meter-deep gorge on the town’s edge, leading you to Koto Gadang village—famous for its traditional silversmiths. Watch the artisans at work before continuing by car to Lake Maninjau. Enjoy the stunning scenery along the way, especially the panoramic views from one of Sumatra’s most winding mountain roads.
Day 14
DEPARTURE
Enjoy your final morning in Sumatra at your leisure. After breakfast and check-out, your driver will transfer you to Padang Airport for your flight to Medan.
