TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1
PADANG AIRPORT - BUKITTINGGI
Welcome to West Sumatra! Upon arrival at Minangkabau International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide. Begin the journey to Bukittinggi, stopping at the scenic Anai Waterfall for a photo opportunity. Continue to Minangkabau Village in Padang Panjang, the cultural center for Minangkabau heritage and documentation. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. En route, visit souvenir stops at Putri Minang, Pandai Sikek (famous for traditional weaving), Linduang Bulan, and Sanjai Ummi (renowned for its crispy snacks). Upon arrival in Bukittinggi, check in at your hotel. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. In the evening, you may watch a traditional Minangkabau dance performance (optional, personal expenses).
Day 2
MINANGKABAU TOUR
After breakfast at the hotel, begin the city tour of Bukittinggi with a visit to Lobang Jepang, an underground tunnel built during the Japanese occupation. Continue to Ngarai Sianok, a breathtaking valley formed by ancient tectonic movements. Depart for Batusangkar with stops at Tabek Patah for panoramic views and Kiniko Home Industry to taste local coffee and snacks. Visit the Pagaruyung Palace, a replica of the royal Minangkabau kingdom. Enjoy lunch at Pondok Flora, surrounded by scenic rice fields. On the return journey, pass by Lake Singkarak, the largest lake in West Sumatra, and stop in Koto Baru to sample Bika, a traditional delicacy. In the evening, enjoy free time around Jam Gadang and Pasar Atas for shopping. Return to the hotel and have dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3
MANINJAU TOUR – PADANG
After breakfast at the hotel, start the Maninjau tour by visiting Koto Gadang, known for its traditional silver handicrafts. Continue to Puncak Lawang, a highland viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of Lake Maninjau. Stop at Embun Pagi for more breathtaking scenery. Afterward, proceed directly to Padang. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Begin a city tour of Padang with visits to Kota Lama (Old Town), the historic China Town area, Siti Nurbaya Bridge, Teluk Bayur Harbor, and Padang Beach. After sightseeing, enjoy free time for shopping at Pasar Raya Padang. Check in at the hotel, and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.
Day 4
PADANG - DEPARTURE
