TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1
MEDAN ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR
Welcome to Medan! Upon arrival at Kuala Namu International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide and assisted with the baggage process. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant serving Javanese cuisine with a Sumateran twist. Afterward, visit Maimoon Palace, where you can dress in traditional Malay attire and take photos at the Sultan Deli’s royal throne, followed by a visit to the iconic Great Mosque of Medan. In the evening, savor local delicacies at a nearby restaurant and, if in season, taste the famous Ucok Durian. Finally, proceed to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.
Day 2
MEDAN - BERASTAGI
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the day with a visit to Tjong A Fie Mansion, a historical residence blending Chinese, Malay, and Art Deco architecture, built in 1895. Tjong A Fie was a respected leader of Medan’s Chinese community, known for his generosity and contributions to the city, including supporting the construction of the Great Mosque. After the visit, continue the journey to Berastagi, a highland town known for its cool climate and scenic landscapes. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In Berastagi, visit Taman Alam Lumbini with its replica of the Golden Shwedagon Pagoda, followed by a stop at the traditional fruit market. Check in at your hotel and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before resting for the evening.
Day 3
BRASTAGI – PARAPAT
This morning, depart from Brastagi for Parapat, a charming lakeside resort on the eastern shore of Lake Toba. The journey passes through fertile vegetable and fruit farms, dense pine forests, and offers stunning views of Lake Toba along the way. Stop at Sipiso-Piso Waterfall, a magnificent cascade plunging over 100 meters into the northern tip of Lake Toba. Continue to Rumah Bolon in Pematang Purba, a traditional Batak longhouse that once served as the residence of local rulers. Alternatively, stop at Simarjarunjung, a highland viewpoint with breathtaking panoramas of Lake Toba. Proceed to Parapat, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and check in at the hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 4
SAMOSIR TOUR – PARAPAT – MEDAN
After breakfast, begin the Samosir Island tour by visiting the Tomb of King Sidabutar and exploring Tomok Village, known for its traditional Batak Toba culture. Continue to Ambarita Village to see ancient megalithic stone chairs in front of traditional Batak houses. Return to Parapat and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, depart for Medan, passing through rubber and coconut plantations along the roads of Pematang Siantar and Tebing Tinggi. In Pematang Siantar, experience a unique ride on a BSA rickshaw, an antique motorcycle from 1941 used as a local transport. Visit the Badak beverage factory, home to Indonesia’s first soda brand. Proceed to Medan, have dinner at a local restaurant, and check in at your hotel for the night.
Day 5
MEDAN - DEPARTURE
Enjoy free time at your leisure until your scheduled transfer to Kuala Namu International Airport for your onward flight. Thank you for traveling with us, and selamat jalan! Wishing you a safe and pleasant journey ahead.
