DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN JAKARTA – CHECK IN HOTEL
Selamat datang! Welcome to Jakarta. Upon arrival at the international airport, you will be picked up by our driver and transferred to the airport hotel in Jakarta. Relax and prepare for the next few days in the jungle. Depending on your arrival time, you can optionally explore the metropolis of Jakarta with your driver on a small city tour.
Note: A direct onward flight from Jakarta to Kalimantan is not possible on the same day.
FLIGHT TO PANGKALANBUN, AIRPORT – KUMAI HARBOR – HOUSEBOAT – PROBOSCIS TOUR
After breakfast we will take you to the airport for your flight to Pangkalanbun on Borneo.

Upon your arrival in Pangkalan Bun Airport, meeting service with our staff and guide then direct transfer to Kumai. It will take about 20 minutes. Upon your arrival in Kumai direct transfer to the houseboat, Lunch will be provided On board. Afterward boating down Kumai River takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Sekonyer River, the main river in Tanjung Puting National Park. Cruising up the Sekonyer River you will see nice vegetation around the river bank, Nipa Palm, Pandanus, and some kinds of trees that grow around the river. See some wildlife such as birds, Macaque, Proboscis Monkey and Orangutan, if the time still permits you will visit Orangutan feeding in Tanjung Harapan at 15.00 PM. Then At 16.00 return back to the boat and continue boating up to observe and learn more about Proboscis monkeys along the river banks. Proboscis monkeys are endemic animals that can be seen only in Borneo. Dinner and Overnight in a Houseboat.
PASALAT CAMP – CAMP LEAKEY
After breakfast, proceed up the river to Pasalat Camp, here you will be hiking up on the boardwalk for 800 Meters and 200 meters you will walk on the ground. In this camp you will have a chance to plant endemic fruit trees for orangutans and this is also the carbon offset program. This program supports the national park by replanting the trees around the ex-forest fire areas and to spread up the fruit trees for the animals in this park. When the tree grows up, the trees will do photosynthesis. From this process the tree will produce the Oxygen, and the Oxygen is the payment to all the Carbon we produce in our whole life (payment of the carbon). Return back to the houseboat then boating up directly to Camp Leakey. Lunch will be provided on board. On arrival in Camp Leakey, you
Will visit IC (Information Center) to see all the work of DR. Birute Galdikas studied the orangutan here from 1971 until today. Enjoy your time until 14.00, afterward continue trekking up into the forest to see orangutan feeding, enjoy the time till 16.00 back to the boat then boating down to Pondok Ambung. If the time permitted before dinner you will trekking into the forest for 2 hours to see the nocturnal animals like Tarsiers, tarantulas, etc. back to the houseboat. Dinner and overnight in the houseboat.
PONDOK TANGGUI – TANJUNG HARAPAN VILLAGE – TANJUNG HARAPAN CAMP
After breakfast, boating down to reach Pondok Tanggui, the second rehabilitation center for the orangutan. Visit the Orangutan feeding 09.00 AM, enjoy your time while taking some pictures. Then at 10.00 AM return back to the houseboat and continue boating down direct to Tanjung Harapan village to see the Malayan settlement activities in the Afternoon. Lunch will be provided on board then cross to Tanjung Harapan Camp to see the last orangutan feeding at 15.00 you will stay until 16.00 pm. Back to the boat and boating down directly to the Nipa Palm area to see thousands of fireflies. Dinner and overnight in the houseboat.
FLIGHT TO SEMARANG – TRANSFER TO BOROBUDUR
After breakfast , your driver will take you from the boat to the airport, from where your journey continues to the island of Java.

Upon arrival in Semarang, you’ll be picked up from the airport and driven to your hotel in Borobudur, north of Yogyakarta, where you’ll spend the afternoon relaxing. The drive from the airport to Borobudur takes about 2.5 hours and offers you a great view of the volcanoes of Central Java.
SUNRISE AND BIKE TOUR IN KULONPROGO
In the early morning hours you would be picked up by our driver to experience the sunrise over Borobudur Temple. After sunrise you will have enough time to explore the temple complex of Borobudur before the temple opens to other tourists.
The Buddhist temple Borobudur was built in the 8th century and was buried with ashes by a volcanic eruption in 1006. It was not until 1814 that Borobudur was rediscovered and extensively restored between 1973 and 1984 to restore the complex to its former glory.
After your temple visit, travel with your driver to the south of Yogyakarta towards Kulon Progo. The drive to the village of Sentolo takes about 1 – 1.5 hours. From here you can cycle through the surrounding villages and rice fields. In Sentolo, you’ll learn about tempeh (fermented soybeans) making, traditional weaving, and everyday life in a Javanese village. Finally, enjoy a traditional Indonesian lunch.
FROM BOROBUDUR TO YOGYAKARTA
After breakfast and checkout, your driver will pick you up for a small city tour of Yogyakarta. First, your driver will take you to Beringharjo Market. In addition to food, clothing, jewelry, and kitchen accessories are also offered. Haggle with the vendors for the best price, taste exotic fruits or buy yourself a nice batik cloth. From Beringharjo Market, continue to Tamansari Water Castle. Afterwards we continued to Kampung Tirtodipuran. Kampung Tirtodipuran is the center for batik, a traditional Indonesian textile dyeing process in which the pattern is covered with liquid wax, which retains the original color of the fabric on subsequent dyeing. Afterwards we accompany you on a tour of Kota Gede, the then capital of the Mataram Kingdom which was once the economic and cultural center of the kingdom. In the afternoon we go to the hotel in Yogyakarta.
